HEI Schools, the global early education brand from Finland, is proud to announce its expansion into Southeast Asia with the launch of its first preschool in Myanmar: HEI Schools Yangon. This milestone marks the introduction of Finland’s research-based early childhood education approach to a new market, bringing a strong focus on child well-being, play-based learning, and holistic development.
Located in Yangon’s Yankin township on Moe Kaung Road—a well-established residential area known for its calm environment and family-friendly community—HEI Schools Yangon will offer high-quality early years education for children aged 1.5 to 6 years. The preschool is scheduled to open in June 2026, with a planned capacity of up to 100 children.
The new school is operated by Sideducation Ltd., an experienced education provider in Myanmar. The founders bring over six years of experience in running an English learning center and are now expanding into early childhood education with a vision aligned with Finnish pedagogy.

The project officially kicked off in March 2026, with both internal and customer onboarding completed successfully. The opening of HEI Schools Yangon represents a significant step in HEI Schools’ mission to bring high-quality, research-based early education to families around the world.
