Basics of Finnish Early Education (BOFEE) consists of 2 sub-training packages that can be implemented separately or together.
1. The Finnish Way package:

Our Special Needs training program is designed based on the needs we encounter globally when training kindergarten teachers and principals. Our trainer will help your team to build an understanding of Special Education and Inclusion and how to arrange special education. Onsite option
In the onsite option, our trainer travels to your kindergarten or preschool to deliver the training in-person. The duration and training hours are tailored to suit your needs. The onsite training can also include observation of teaching and tailor the training content based on the observation.
Online option
The HEI Schools trainers hold online sessions with your team in the online option. The duration and number of sessions is tailored to suit your needs. The training also includes assignments and group work. Our trainers are very accustomed to hold trainings online and make them engaging and interactive.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long are the trainings?
Typical length for our Basics of Finnish Early Education onsite training is one work week. However, the duration of the training and the hours per day are tailored to suit your needs and the working hours of your staff.
Basics of Finnish Early Education can be done also as an online training and it typically takes place over 9 online sessions, each lasting 2-3 hours, depending on your team's availability and working hours. The actual training dates and times are agreed with you to suit your needs.
How to Implement the Toolkit can be done either as onsite or online training. The online training consists of 4 modules, each around 2-3 hrs. The onsite training duration is adjusted to your needs.
The Special Needs training is conducted as an online training and it consists of 4 hours of training.
The HEI Schools Diploma program is a self-study program that you can take at your own time and at your own pace.
What kind of educational background is required to attend training?
Any studies in education, experience working with children in either teaching or caretaking, and an interest in early childhood education, are all helpful in taking the full advantage of the training. Our trainings don't require any specific degree or diploma in early childhood education.
What are the requirements for the training?
The main thing you need is motivation to learn 😊. If the training is organized onsite, you will need a computer and an internet connection for the pre-assignments, but for the actual training, they are not needed unless specifically requested.
For an online training, you will need a computer, a stable internet connection and preferably a headset.
Do I get a Certificate after completing training?
Yes, you will receive a digital certificate from HEI Schools upon completion of our training.
